Masasa Beach Tingloy Island Batangas Philippines - Best Snorkeling in th...

I just had a vacation last week in Manila. I visited my girlfriend and we decided to travel together to Masasa Beach in Tingloy island, Batangas Philippines. It is such an amazing place.

Tingloy Island is one of the best islands I've been to and one of the best tourist spots in the Philippines. It has rich marine resources that makes it one of the best snorkeling site in the Philippines. I enjoyed swimming with colorful fishes and sea turtles. Plus, the view of rich and colorful corals are mesmerizing. Snorkeling is a must try when you visit in Tingloy.

Other things to enjoy in Tingloy Island is to swim in Masasa Beach with their white sand beach with clear water. Also, stroll around the island's rock formation just a minutes away from Masasa beach.

How I Babysit

This is my niece, Thea. She is turning 2 this April 2017. She is my older sister's daughter. She loves music and loves to dance. Her stuffed toys are her best friends, especially the teddy bear and Peppa Pig. She is addicted to watching nursery rhymes videos on YouTube and whines when her mom hides the cellphone from her.

Thea is 23 months old and she is learning  so many things so fast. She is starting to count, read letters, identify colors, dance, and many more. Now that she is growing so fast it is important to keep an eye on her all the time. She already learned how to climb the stairs and leave the house alone. One time, she was nowhere to be found. I looked for her in every corner of the house and she was not around. I began to panic. I went to the next door neighbor and to my surprise, she was there. She went there all alone!

This video shows some of our moments together when I get to babysit her. Her mom was at work. I was at home and these are some crazy stuffs that we do. Have fun watching this crazy video.

SJCAM SJ4000 WIFI - Timelapse Video

I have had this SJCAM SJ4000 WIFI camera for about 2 years now. I've been using this for my travel and water trips and adventure. It is a great camera. It has gone through tough times with me, and even the a part of the front lens of this camera was scratched. Unfortunately, that scratch affects the image quality which is evient on the lower right center of the frame. I dont know where I got it but I'm pretty sure it was from one of my adventures.

The images and video that this cam shoots are sharp. I rarely get blurry pictures .It has some features that I really like such as the time-lapse. It is called the videolapse option in the main menu of the camera. I rarely shoot time lapse video with this camera because I do not have the patience to wait and leave the camera shooting for minutes uninterrupted. The WIFI feature is great too however, it is a sucker for battery power. The battery juice doesnt last that long when I use the WIFI functions frequently. The wifi feature does allow you to control the camera from your Android smartphone or an Iphone.

Overall, this camera is a best buy. It's almost like having a GoPro but for a cheaper price.

The video was shot in my hometown Zamboanga City Philippines at Abong-Abong Upper Psonanca, KCC Mall de Zamboanga, and my room. The video was edited in Adobe Premiere with color correction done. Enjoy!

Lapaz, Zamboanga City

Lapaz is one of the 98 Baranggays in Zamboanga City, Philippines. It is located along the east coast of the city. This place is also know as the "Baguiao of Zamboanga" beacause the weather is colder due to its high elevation.

I've been to Lapaz recently and it is so much different now since the last time I visited. The road is paved and the many house are built. Thankfully, the trees were still alive and the fog is still within reach. However, the thought of building the paved road in this baranggay, one can conclude that it cost the lives of many trees. :(

While we where leaving the place with a motorbike, I hastily took my smartphone when the heavens fell. I filmed the surreal atmosphere with my phone while the motorbike was speeding along the paved road. It was cold and I loved it. Too bad I left my Samsung NX200 at home. If I only had my NX200 with me, I could have taken a better quality video than the one showed below. Still, I manged to make it loo a little appealing by editing the video in Adobe Premiere Pro. I changed the color a bit, applied a colder tone. I slowed down the video for a relaxng ride. Added a surreal music to reflect the feeling I had while shooting this. (though I'm aware that music mood can be subjective)

So if you happen to visit Zamboanga City, and offered an opportunity to visit this place, please do not hesitate to say "yes". It is all worth it!

Shot with my smartphone, Cloudfone Excite Prime.

video was edited in Adobe Premiere Pro

Bunguiao, Zamboanga City Philippines

Bunguiao is one of the 98 baranggay in Zamboanga City Philippine. It is located on the east coast of Zamboanga. People here speak pure Chavacano (Philippines' Broken Spanish dialect) Bunguiao is a love place. It is a place that teaches you that a simple life would more likely bring you to happines.

I fell in love with this place. My job sent me here and this place has become my second home. This is a small 'barrio' is surrounded by forest. The air always feel fresh. The water is always cold, straight from springs and it is always free! Electric wires and posts are built but the electric company has not provided the electricity yet. So there are no TVs, internet, or any electronic entertainment. There isn't and mobile phone signal either. But people still find ways to have fun by playing cards and drinking alcohol, which is not-so-cool.

I met many beautiful people and made friends. Life in this place is a bit harder than in the "pueblo" or downtown. Farming is the main source of money nd that is quite difficult. I hope to leave my imprint into the people in this place before I leave.

Here are some videos I shot in this place :)

Enjoy!
